CONTRACTOR'S EQUIPMENT
Equipment floaters cover loss from physical damage to equipment used by the contractor in the construction process. In order to be eligible for an equipment floater, the equipment must be mobile in nature. Equipment typically insured under an equipment floater includes cranes, bulldozers, earthmovers, tractors, air compressors, office and storage trailers, etc. With a few exceptions, e.g. watercraft and aircraft, virtually any item of portable equipment used by a contractor can be insured under an equipment floater. Relevant Contractor's Equipment Exclusions
- Items rented or loaned to others.
- Electrical breakdown or failure.
- Freezing or overheating.
- Wear and tear - gradual deterioration.
